Coutet for a luxurious masterclass in the wines of
Sauternes. Some seriously premium sticky!
We told you they were

Points from reviewer Harvey Steinman, his highest score
ever! He rated 2012 Carnival of Love as a Hot Wine with a 95

with 93 and 92 Points respectively. To celebrate, ALL

Wine of the Week
This superb wine from Bordeaux's Listrac-Medoc appellation
is made from sites
designated as Cru Bourgeois Superieur.
It is Cabernet dominant, with smaller
amounts of Merlot and Petit Verdot. If you are looking for an
affordable entree into aged Bordeaux, this is just the wine.
Chateau Fonreaud Listrac-Medoc 1996,
The ideal entree
into aged Bordeaux!
vineyard is in a marvelous location on the
highest elevation in the Medoc. The perfect
combination of grape varieties grown on a
diversity of soils expresses itself with
style and distinction in the wine. Château
Fonréaud is round, full-bodied and smooth,
with very ripe tannin. It spreads out
deliciously on the palate and has an
excellent structure. The vat room has
numerous small temperature-controlled vats
which make it possible to fine-tune
winemaking in order to bring out the nuances
of each vineyard plot.” -
