This week at Wine House
It's
Father's Day around the corner, and we here at WineHouse can
help you get in the good books with Dad! Everyone knows that
the way to Dad's heart is via his palate!
For those with fathers that have a great sense of humour,
you might consider
Dan
Standish's The Relic. If that isn't your style, we've
helped narrow down your choice by putting together a
Father's Day 6-pack. If you're after something a little
different, consider giving Dad a ticket to our upcoming
Cheesematters Masterclass or even a
Wine Appreciation Course.
Happy Father's Day!
Cheers from the team at Wine House!
Wine House - Wine of the Week
For Fathers with
a liking for big, Barossa shiraz

Massena
The Eleventh Hour Shiraz 2006, Barossa,
SA
eRobert Parker.com 94 Points!
"The 2006 Eleventh Hour
Shiraz was sourced from 60- to 125-year-old
vines that were saved from the bulldozer at
the eleventh hour. The wine was aged for 20
months in seasoned French oak hogsheads
(300-litre barrels compared to 225 liters
for a standard barrique). It exhibits an
alluring bouquet of wood smoke, charcoal,
mineral, black raspberry, and wild
blueberry. Liqueur-like on the palate, it
has layers of savor fruit, incipient
complexity, and impeccable balance."
Wine Advocate # 181 Feb 2009
Offering hedonistic drinking
pleasure, with its powerfully layered
palate,
you may indeed make Dad cry tears of joy
with this one!
