"William Downie is so highly regarded in Australian wine circles
as a maker of top Pinot Noir that he is almost synonymous with
the variety." Wine
William Downie sources Pinot Noir grapes from three Victorian
regions: Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula and Gippsland.
Downie has said that the variety as such doesn't matter to him.
Famously, he doesn't even indicate variety on his bottles. What
is important for Downie is how the grape expresses the time and
place from when and where it was sourced. Join us for this
unique opportunity to try all three 2014 Pinots alongside each
31st July, 5-7pm. No need to book.
"I go a bit
crazy for William Downie's Pinot Noir."

Wine of the Week
This wine is a great little discovery. Really smart
zebra packaging, this is a new Yarra Valley Pinot Noir by Nina
Stoker, an exciting, dedicated and passionate winemaker. It burst onto the
scene as James Halliday's Wine Of The Week last month and has
been selling like hot cakes since. Very well priced showing
pristine fruit and strikingly good balance, it's impressive.

Wine of the Week!
striking a label as Iíve seen for years, and a very interesting
story behind the label. This is a seriously good young pinot,
with a seriously good future. It is flooded with all manner of
red fruits, but retains supple, elegant mouthfeel; its length
and balance are the foundation stones of its future." -
